Bulgaria and Great Britain both scored victories, on Wednesday, in the U20 age group of the IHF Trophy for the European zone.
Bulgaria had no trouble on their way to a 38:25 victory against Malta.
Malta came into the match with confidence, after their opening game win against Andorra, on Tuesday, but Bulgaria proved too strong, dominating throughout the match.
Meanwhile, in the other junior category match of the day, Great Britain stunned the home team, Kosovo, with a convincing 30:22 victory.
Prior to the match, Great Britain had never defeated Kosovo in an international match, at any category.
Reuben Wardle top-scored for Great Britain with 7 goals, whilst Kosovo’s Ardin Berisha was the game’s top scorer with 12 goals.
Great Britain now leads the table with four points and hope to continue their perfect run when they meet Malta on Thursday, in the round 3 match.
The home team will be looking for redemption in their next clash against Andorra, on Thursday.
