Kosovo’s youth team went down 34:29 to Bulgaria, in their opening match, at the Palace of Youth in Prishtina, on Tuesday night.
The match was evenly fought for long periods but Bulgaria held their ground to take their first two points of the championship.
Kosovo’s performance showed promise, and the team was committed but the lack of composure in key moments cost them in the end.
In the other match in the U18 age group, Great Britain had no trouble overcoming Albania 34:11.
The competition continues on Wednesday.
