Great Britain and Bulgaria to open 2022 IHF Trophy

The 2022 IHF Trophy championship for the European zone is set to begin on Tuesday, in Prishtina.

The schedule of matches has already been confirmed.

The IHF Trophy for Europe is held for youth (U18) and junior (U20) handball players. The matches will be played at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina.

Great Britain and Bulgaria will open the competition in the junior category. This match starts at 12:00. Then at 14:00 Malta meets Andorra in the same category.

In the Youth category, Albania and Great Britain throw-off at 16:00, whilst Bulgaria and Kosovo meet from 18:00.

From Tuesday to Saturday, there will be four daily matches, two in the U20 age group and two in the U18 age group. Each team will play each-other once and, in the end, the national team that collects the most points is declared the champion and will qualify for the the IHF Intercontinental Trophy.

Participating teams:

U18: Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria, Great Britain and Georgia.

U20: Kosovo, Andorra, Bulgaria, Great Britain and Malta.
